Our Mission Statement
The mission of Helping Our Way is to promote and assist in educational activities, provide assistance to special needs areas and support activities and projects of our local communities. HOW is primarily focused on helping local students and organizations in the Lakeside area by providing scholarships for students looking to further their education in the horticulture areas, working with local elementary and middle schools providing school classroom gardens and helping to fill the needs of other local organizations and individuals that have unforeseen and unexpected needs that arise.

Helping Our Way has been working closely with the local Lakeside Schools providing School Garden Beds and Orchards since July 2014. In that time, we have provided multiple classroom garden bed and orchard projects for our local schools. Our projects construct working agricultural Gardens and Orchards in the Lakeside Schools that provide a hands-on learning lab opportunity for the students. They are essentially outdoor classrooms for students to explore and bring their learning to life.
